It is bald apart from a fine down on the face, ears, feet, and tail, and the skin is wrinkled on the face, body, and legs. It has very large ears, a short nose, and no whiskers. The Sphynx has not yet been recognized by many cat associations. Hairless cats are said to have been bred by the Aztecs and have also been recorded at the turn of the 20th century in New Mexico, USA. However, the 'Mexican Hairless' has now become extinct. | ||||
